I haven't blogged on But Mama, I'm Hungry in almost a year. Life has been hectic, to say the least. All is well, don't get me wrong. But, I'm on to new things right now.
The title of this post isn't meant to scare anyone. I'm not really leaving, let me explain. On May 6th of this year, I decided that I would no longer eat sugar, flours, grains, rice, and all of those other delicious carb-laden goodies that were so prevalent on this blog. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE COOKIES. They just don't love me. I reached a high of 300 lbs on May 6, 2012. And, I'm happy to report that I'm down 47 lbs since that day.
It is SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE to the foods you once loved and ate on a daily basis. But, sometimes we have to make choices for ourselves. And for me, the answer was low carb. So, I no longer make the types of foods that were so well featured on this blog. And, I will no longer be sharing those types of recipes. But, in the future I will be sharing delicious recipes that are low in carbs and great for diabetics.
Here's to a new beginning and a new kind of "But Mama, I'm Hungry"!
